EAC marking is the abbreviation of “Eurasian Conformity”. With this label, the manufacturer declares that his product meets the applicable safety requirements. These security requirements are defined in the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union.

The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU for short) consists of five Member States Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan. The member states have established a single market as a Customs Union in northeastern Eurasia.

The Eurasian Economic Union has published technical regulations to define the security requirements of various products. TR stands for technical regulations (reglements as used in Russian). Technical regulations are usually written with a number and year of publication. For example, TR CU 004/2011 stands for “Technical Regulation of Customs Union 004 from 2011”. The year of publication does not necessarily correspond to the start of validity. Depending on the industry, the technical regulations can come into force in 6 months, one year, two years.

GOST is the abbreviation of “Gossudarstwenny Standart”, translated “State Standard”. It is a standardization system that has been used since the Soviet Union. The current standardization organization is called the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology since 2004 and is based in Moscow. Nowadays the technical regulations of the Customs Union (TR CU) replace the individual GOST standards but for some areas that have not yet been covered, the individual GOST standards of the countries are still valid.

These certificates declare that the listed goods meet the security requirements in the technical regulations of the Eurasian Economic Union. The certificate can be created for a one-time delivery based on a contract or for 1-, 3- and 5-year serial production (multiple deliveries). With the certificates for serial production, unlimited export to the following member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (Customs Union) is possible:
