Certification for Russia and the EAEU (Customs Union)
The five countries Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan have formed a single market as a customs union: Eurasian Economic Union (EEU or EAEU for short). Through the certification of products during export their quality and conformity with state standards are documented. These products must meet minimum safety requirements for the consumers.
The CE certificate of conformity applicable in the European Union is not recognized for exports to Russia and the Customs Union. Companies wishing to export to Russia and EEU countries therefore need EAC certification for their products.
EAC certification is a complex process that requires knowledge of the technical regulations of the Customs Union and state standards (GOST) and demands constant close contact with accredited laboratories and experts.
Companies that are not registered within the Customs Union (EAEU or EEU) are not allowed to apply for certificates directly, they need to assign an authorized representative within the Customs Union. We can provide the required authorized representation based in the Customs Union through our Moscow office EMCC GROUP Ltd. As an Authorized Representative in Russia, we establish cooperation with state-accredited test centers and can ensure the availability of your technical documentation for supervisory and regulatory authorities.
We manage the entire certification process for you, from the application to the accredited laboratories and experts to the delivery of the certificates to your office.
